...3.23...Weekending...

...well...we've made it through our first week of home-stay...and it's been just fine...we've not ventured out at all...so the weekend seemed odd...with no trip to the grocery store and no Church...things may get a bit same-y around here...
...we had a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning...which is really rare...
...and then because I'm still trying to go through and use up things from the freezer and pantry before we need to go to the store...I found another bag of home grown peanuts that were given to us last fall...so I shelled those...
...and roasted them...
...I watched them more carefully this time...so they didn't get too done...
...and put them in a pretty dish for snacking...you can see Kitten in the background...doing what she does best...haha...
...other than that...we've been watching the news A LOT!...and talking to friends and family on the phone a lot too...this little sweetie loves to FaceTime with her grandmommy and Papa...she smiles and coos and reaches for the phone...

~Wishing you all a safe and healthy start to your week!

  1. AW, the little is so sweet and always smiling. I too have been using up what I can especially canned goods. I bought a little here and there when I've gone out. Your pancakes look good. I haven't made pancakes in literally decades. In former times I've used a cast iron frying pan and they turned out beautifully. Last time I used a stainless steel pan and they were not good at all. I don't think the pan got hot enough. I think it's time to dig out my cast iron again. I had stopped using it when my wrists were too weak to lift but I think I can manage now. Have a good week ahead.

    1. Hi Penny,
...yes...she is too precious really...we miss her (and her Mommy and Daddy a lot)...We love pancakes...and sometimes have them for dinner (brinner) too...I use a cast iron griddle that my Mom gave me...it always makes perfect pancakes and they are so easy to turn on a griddle...
