...11.7...Over the Weekend...

...I did the weekly shopping...I got the Creme Brulee version of the Silk creamer...I wanted the Sweet Cream one that I'd had at my sweet sissie's house...but they didn't have that one...
...of note this week...WHITE cornmeal...YAY!...and I stopped at the asian market and got some Kala Namak...the Man says eeeeuuuuuwwww...haha...

...and he asked if they still sell pepper in the little square tin cans...and mostly they do not...haha...they're either little square plastic boxes or plastic or glass bottles...but I did find this one...
...and also this new to me Ramen flavor...
...accidently vegan...
...then I spent some time fixing and refilling a bunch of things in the kitchen...

...this Quaker oats tin was a gift from Our Airman to the Man...who insists on only Quaker Old Fashioned Oats...but the lid was always been a little bit loose...
...so I tore off a thin strip of duct tape to tighten it up a little bit...
...and just stuck that to the inside rim of the lid...it won't ever touch the oats...but I'm sure it's not food-safe...haha...
...and now the lid fits just right...
...then I got out my ages old (a wedding gift) spice grinder...
...and my peppercorns...we usually keep the Tellicherry in the shaker...
...and refill the grinder with the colourful ones...
...we bought this guy while we were on vacation at the AirBnB and so we're just using it up...it can't be refilled...
...so I refilled the regular table shakers...
...and then a different shaped shaker for the Himalayan Pink Salt...
...all refilled...the little glass egg hold Kosher salt...so many different salts...right?...
...I refilled the ACV...it's so much more economical to buy the big jug...
...and I refilled my little reused olive jar full of ground flax seed...it goes rancid pretty quickly after it's ground...so I keep the bag in the freezer...and just refill the little jar as needed...and keep it in the fridge...
...and then outside...when we replaced the Airman flag...I inadvertently threw away the little velcro tab that keeps it from flipping around and wrapping up on the post in the wind...
...and I thought I could fashion a replacement of sorts from a binder clip...I just took some pliers and bent the little metal tabs so that they would slip onto the post at the right angle...
...so far it seems to be working...and it doesn't look too bad...
...and finally...I don't know what happens to all of my clothespins...it's true that I use them for a lot of things...and they are basically all over the house...holding things...you know...and I just them for clips to keep open bags of things like chips fresh too...
...so I needed to refill my bag of clothespins that I actually use to hang clothes out on the line...haha...

~wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  1. I just did this yesterday, straightening up my pantry and making note of what is there, what to use. Where did the clothespins go??

  2. Nice to get little projects done when you're not in a rush. Yeah , I use clothespins for so many things around the boat and they always seem to dissappear. Plus they do get pulled off the lines sometimes in a strong wind. I keep a spare 100 pack on board. Love, K
