...10.3...Friday Update...

...work continues in the Master bedroom...the Man took down the ceiling fan and is painting the tray ceiling now...

...but downstairs in the dinette and kitchen...y'all may have already seen this project in a photo or two...I meant to do a W.I.P. Wednesday post about it...but kind of forgot it during the Porcelain Sweater project...anywhooo it was a project that I'd been wanting to do for quite a while...we had bought a couple of yards of the same printed fabric that our tablecloths are made from...you've probably seen it in some food photos...

...I just cut two strips...one from the printed fabric and one from some white cotton...and sewed a tube with a pocket at the top for the rod to slide in...and finished both ends...it was super easy...

...slid in a simple rod to gather it up...

...this is what it looks like on the inside...

...and hung it in place...

...it covers the pleated window shade...

...and did exactly the same thing for the kitchen window...

...and just makes the room look so much more 'finished'...

...with the light on...

...I'm super happy with how the little valances turned out...
