First we got a new washing machine (the old one actually broke first) ...
Then last year they upgraded the range and the hood...
And this year they had approved the purchase of a new Refrigerator - notice the old green paint above the 'fridge - we had to remove a cabinet 'cause apparently the new 'fridge is taller than the old one - don't worry one of the parishoners has a wood shop and he's going to trim it up and put it back for us...
...and dishwasher...
...they're both Kenmore (remember we still have a Sears Appliance store here - so it's nice that they buy local and support them) and white - I like white appliances...
So far we like them both a lot - the 'fridge has it's freezer at the bottom which is taking some getting used to - but it certainly seems to hold more stuff than the old side-by-side - and the biggest bonus of all - you can actually carry on a conversation in the kitchen with the dishwasher running - without shouting - haha...
you're so lucky!! yes, my favorite appliance was my kenmore dishwasher that i had at NEW HILL - i miss it....it washed everything clean, no matter how much grimy stuff i "stuffed" into it. i now have a kitchenaid that is 14 yrs old (hey, i shouldn't complain, i picked it out new, so it's my fault)...hate it - noisy, doesn't wash well....i'll replace it someday....

Oh yes, when I was living with my parents in the parsonage I remember how very happy I was when they installed new carpet and a dishwasher in the same year. Congrats!
