Neat trick! I'm always looking for little productivity tips like this. One thing I do for cleaning and organizing is use the "10 minutes" rule: commit to a particular pile or section for 10 minutes each day. Poof! Clutter piles disappear!

  3. That is such a great idea. I love quilts, but always thought they would be too hard for me to make. I have been teaching myself to sew, amoung other things, so this now looks doable. Thank you for the tips.

Good time use. This wouldn't work for me since my laundry area is just a little galley-way and my sewing machine is two flights up. Plus, I haven't done patchwork/quilting in a long long time. But setting up a place and doing little by little is a great idea.

  5. Mmm. Making things should be relaxing, and you make quilting seem so breezy. :) I think that's an art for enjoying life.

  6. I love you quilting methods, and Jennifer's delcuttering/cleaning tactics are great. It reminds me of the FlyLady. That's who I am using to guide me right now. I have gotten rid of so much stuff. I'll try your quilting technique. I am forever in the laundry room. ;)

  7. Hi! Thanks for the nice comments on my post about Grand Marais. I stayed in a cabin in Wilderness State Park over New Year's and I'm guessing that's where you camped in the summer. Beautiful area. I'm off to peruse your blog, but I see you have one on being vegan as well. See you soon.

  8. I love this idea! I definitely get my knitting done in quick little bursts like this but I've never been able to apply this to my sewing. You make it seem so simple!

  9. Love that idea! I think that is how I work on ALL my sewing projects!!! Right now I am working on a asymmetrical shirt for Bailey, I have 2 sides finished, not put together, and still working on the bottom! I love quilts, I need to take that up also!! Nice Job!!
