No Glass bottles...anymore...
DON'T FORGET!! Enter the Valentines Day Giveaway!
I have lamented the lack of glass packaging before...
...and it has happened again...
...I was almost out of vanilla...and was disappointed to see that Watkins has switched to plastic bottles for their vanilla...
...so as soon as I got it home...I searched through our recycle bin and found a glass bottle...I washed it about a dozen times...and then filled it with the vanilla...peeled the label off the original bottle and stuck it right back on the new bottle too...just one of the trivial little things making me a little bit happier this morning...

I thought I was the only one to do that! I even pour my clorax into old bottles. I wish that companies wouldn't use plastic.

ReplyDeleteyes I like glass containers/bottles too. I just don't like the idea of plastic leaching into our food products.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!

I love glass too - great tip! We recently switched to Singing Dog vanilla extract, and love it! http://www.kestrelgrowth.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=KGB&Category_Code=PVE

ReplyDeleteThis makes me like you even more than I already do!!
ReplyDeleteI was dismayed to find the Watkins switch-over to plastic too! I was even more dismayed when my local grocery store stopped carrying it all together!! Ah well - I have my mother buy some and send it to me now :)
