...a Day at the Car Show...

...we spent the day at the local Antique Car Show...

...just wandering around in the crowd - looking at the old cars...

...but Elvis was also there...

...crooning away...such fun!...

...Scout liked the flames on this red Ford truck and wondered if we could paint some on Papa's truck...er...I don't think so...

...there was an old Chevette there...such fun to see one of those...as we had one when we were first married...and now it's an antique...oh my...

...this reminded me of watching Andy Griffith when I was little...

...Scout liked the Sponge Bob dirt racer...

...and by the time we had made the full loop and looked at all the cars...Elvis had changed into his signature white rhinestones and cape...

...so what's your favorite old car?...Scout loves the old muscle cars...

...and what do you think of Elvis impersonators?...or just impersonators in general...

  1. I love Elvis impersonators. I don't like impersonators or mimics in general but I saw 'Bjorn Again', Abba 'tribute' group and they were just amazing.

My favourite old car is called an 'Austin Seven' - they are just so cute.

love the chevette! you know i remember! and that one actually looks like the one duane overhauled the engine back in the day.....

we're in cody now - going to the rodeo tonight!! i haven't gotten to it yet online, but you'll HAVE to come here to the museum....there are about 2500 guns on display.....too, too many, but some in your family would definitely enjoy!

  4. Haha, well, having the king dance and croon helps give a car show that blast from the past aura. So retro! I suppose the energy from the singing helps brighten the day of the car show some more, while the cars themselves do their part in being the cool eye candy.

  5. My dad would love to be here! Elvis + Vintage Cars = perfect gift for him. Hehe. Now, I’m beginning to search for upcoming auto shows, and I hope to bring my dad there to have a bit of a father and son bonding. :)
