...here we are mid-June...and Karen is on her way west (we're looking forward to some awesome Yellowstone pics)...
...and the garden is finally...finally planted...
...since our backyard (which we thought was finished) is going to need a bit more work...I decided not to risk planting there if bulldozers and backhoes might be called in...
...one of our parishioners had a large garden and she doesn't need all of the space...so she let us use half the garden...
...Scout planted all of the corn (his favorite - I hope it makes before frost - this is pretty late to be planting corn in ND)...and the potatoes...he did an awesome job...and I was so happy to have the help...
...it makes the produce all the sweeter if you've had a hand in the planting of it...

Corn is always the tricky one for Northerners, isn't it? Still, it is worth a try!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are able to garden.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you get your corn.If by chance something happens, my door is open.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like everyone's garden-planting is a little late this year. Looking forward to seeing your harvest. Good luck with the corn!
ReplyDeleteWe are borrowing some garden space from our neighbor this year and most of our plants went in last week.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping Scout's corn is successful, for Owen it is all about the sugar snap peas!
Happy Gardening.
