...WIP Wednesday...

...another day without internet yesterday...ARGHH!!!...it's back on today...and hoping for the best...

...a while ago...Maria over at Little Things are Big...had a giveaway for the Veganist by Kathy Freston...and for those of us who didn't win...she started a book train...where the book was mailed from person to person...and it was my turn to have the book for a while...a nice interesting read...I'll be sending it on this week to the last person on the list...and then it will make it's way back to Maria...THANKS MARIA!...

...I'm knitting (actually already crocheting a border) on a prayer shawl for a sweet little girl who will be baptized at Church this Sunday...she is so excited and I'm so excited for her...in the Lutheran Church we don't see a lot of child baptisms as most Lutherans are baptized as infants...it's my Super Simple Triangular Shawlette pattern...just with a shell stitch border...I'll show you the FO soon...

...if you know me...you probably know that I am loathe to say anything negative...but I must say that the book my new Book Club chose for July is NOT a vegan friendly book (I have not finished the book - this may be a first for me)...the book is supposed to be hilarious...but only if you enjoy humor at the expense of a lot of gruesome animal suffering...so...I'm anxious to see what book is chosen for August...

...Have a lovely day!...

  1. Firstly, the shawl is beautiful and I bet the recipient will treasure it. Something made just for her, with love - can't get better than that.

Secondly, book groups can be tricky with the choice of books. My library group have had an Anita Shreve 'Body Surfing'. An easy read. The last was that book about Kevin. Very disturbing and I skimmed through it.
