...a knitting machine???...

...y'all know that I have been knitting...with needles...most of my life (since I was 8)...

...learning to knit story here...(#3)...

...first needles story here...
...but my sweet sissie shipped me a huge heavy package yesterday...

...she got it at a big Goodwill store near her home...
...so...I opened the very well packed box...I'm sure nothing was damaged...and inside were some (well packed) accessories...
...lots of little bits and bobs...
...not that I know (yet) what they are for...
...this is the thingy that actually does the knitting...a lot different from my two sticks...
...and then there was a heavy metal box with a handle...
...with the Empisal Knitmaster logo...
...and a full blown knitting machine...that's a lot of needles...
...and one more reason why I love the internet...just a quick search...and I found a FREE manual for this specific machine...

...of course I have no idea what I'm doing here...and it all looks pretty complicated...this is a 'lace' machine and uses punch cards...which I don't have...ebay here I come...

...but I realize that I have a lot to learn...so...if any of you have any tips on machine knitting please send them my way...this looks like it's going to be a fun creative venture...

...I'll keep you posted...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. You are way ahead of me because you can use four needles!

  2. Have fun figuring it out which I'm sure you will. I have a friend who knits on a machine and makes lovely sweaters but she can't knit on needles. She took a course to use the machine.
