...W.I.P. Wednesday...making bobbins...

...not a lot of progress on the secret socks...mainly because I've frogged twice already (I'll tell you all about it when the socks are done and gifted)...and now I've decided to change colours where there is no colourwork on the pattern...
...and for changing colours...you need bobbins...so I got some heavy cardstock...some box lid or something from the recycle bin...and made a pattern...
...cut them out and wound on some thread...
...and away we go...with try #3 for these socks...

...what's the most number of times you've frogged and then continued with the project anyway?...

...in other news it's really chilly here...high today only 45° F...they were calling for a bit of snow tonight...but I didn't see any in the forecast this morning...

~Have a lovely warm day...

  1. My inadequacy shows as I have no idea what 'frogging' is!

We are having strange weather. At this moment it is breezy, sunny and 20 degrees centigrade. This morning it was very windy and torrential rain. The past four days have been like this going from one to the other sometimes four times in a 24 hour period with severe gale force winds creating a lot of damage. Bizarre weather for October.

  2. I once made an Uncle a vest and when it was done it was way too big, so I 'frogged' (unraveled) the entire thing and re-knit it. My parents were amazed. I was maybe 12? I was home alone in the summer with not a lot to do except knit.

On a related note, I finished the knitting finally on the Sawtelle sweater, just need to sew on the buttons and rinse/block it. I'll post a picture to my blog next weekend when I'm off work and finish those two things.
