We had our main Remembrance Day parade on Sunday but I was in town on the 11th when there was a smaller ceremony at 11am. We had the two minute silence then a veteran of WWII played the last post as three other WWII veterans lowered the flags of their regiments. The Mayor then said:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
"When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Their Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today"
There were a lot of people standing and many eyes wiped.
what a nice day! love, k
