...not many people can say that...
...she was born in 1916...and remembers the first time her Mama voted!!!...it's a crazy-crazy world isn't it?...
...Mom was going through some of her photos...and she sent me this copy of Grandma's graduation...
...a little close up...she's standing by her teacher...
...Grandma and Granddaddy...
...I think this is from their 50th wedding anniversary...
...and a more recent one...

ReplyDeletelove, k
Oh, how lovely...and exciting! I bet she has wonderful stories to tell. The depression and WWII fascinate me; I often talk with older people in my life about those experiences.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Happy birthday to your Grandmother!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, these things are so important. Our grandparents are living and lived through such massive changes. My grandmothers lived through the first flights right up to at the moon landings. They also lived through the reigns of six monarchs and two world wars plus the Boer War. More changes than anyone had experienced before.
ReplyDeleteoh - so cool!
ReplyDelete99! that is a long, full time of living!
my grandma is 96. i wonder if she remembers the first time her mom voted - i should ask her sometime!
is your grandpa still alive as well? and how long have they been married?
love and happiness to you as you celebrate!
