...and I had saved this recipe from Connoisseurus Veg for Sticky Sesame Cauliflower...
...I wasn't sure how this would turn out...would they be soggy?...
...but no...they were light and crispy...almost like a tempura...
...which is totally OK...because I was thinking of how good this sauce would be drizzled over some tofu...so it will be a good thing to have leftovers...
...totally delicious...
...and for the movie...it was actually the Man's turn to choose and so once again I was surprised that he chose a foreign film...My Afternoons with Margueritte...
...although I knew that he is kind of a fan of Gérard Depardieu...and you know how good Amazon Prime is at suggesting things based on either what you've already watched or what you've searched for...which is kinda convenient...and this was a really good movie...again...just a movie about some people...I thought it was really sweet...

hey - we've been watching Turner Classic Movies that we've recorded....we started one last night from the 1930's (i can't remember the name!!!) but it was dark and sub-titled. i got bored with it - so about 45 minutes in, we changed it over to "Unforsaken" - also a sort of dark themed western. interesting enough though. oh, and dinner was mexican on our way home from the airports since i didn't feel like cooking anything!! love, k

ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely film, seen on Netflix. I am so pleased Gerard Depardieu is back on form - Marseilles was a brilliant series. The death of his son seemed to knock him off kilter as it would any of us.
ReplyDeletei remembered the movie name that we shut off - Through a Glass Darkly. i looked it up, it was directed by Ingmar Bergman...and it was from 1961 - i was mistaken about the date. looks like it gets rave reviews. oh well - we deleted it off the DVR, so probably won't take a 2nd look.
