A very full day...

We had a very full day...

...full of rock climbing...

...and archery...

...and obstacle courses...

...and Capitol tours...

...and Mock Legislature sessions...

...and views of tent cities....

...and Capitol lawns...

...and our own campsite from the 18th floor...

...jailhouses....

...and fires - Oh My!

...that need to be extinguished...

...So Scout got to that right away...

...and touring Safety Houses...

...with smoke filled rooms...

...opening windows in smoke filled rooms...

...and escaping out windows...

...ah - fresh air....

...experiencing some of the things handicapped people do...

...then on to catapults...

...ready - load - fire...

...small - medium - and large....

...three different kinds...

...then suiting up for more rock climbing...

...because - really - you can never have too much rock climbing...

...then some blacksmithing...

...the clang of hammer and anvil...

...some candle making...

...making fire with a glass disc...

...walking a tightrope bridge...

...and some hatchet throwing...

...one of the high points of the day...

...then the parade of flags - very very impressive...

...our scouts turning the corner...

...on to the Closing Ceremonies...we're in there with 3000 scouts...

...and we were visited by Col. Baden Powell...

...and President Theodore Roosevelt...

...and finally a laser light show to get everyone ready for bed...

...they ended with everyone standing and singing together - 'I'm Proud to be an American' - very sweet and meaningful...

...it was a much quieter camp - after such a busy day - everyone was exhausted...
