...well...I had to make a huge adaptation to the pattern...as I found that I did not have a #4 Circular Needle...ooops! - I thought I did...
...soooo...I just worked to the end of the underarm increases where you're supposed to join to work in the round...and I didn't join...
...and the stockinette stitch - as much as knitters say that it's boring - it's just the thing for sitting around chatting at a retreat - you can get rows and rows done without even looking - and still remain part of the conversation...I probably couldn't do that whilst reading a lace pattern...
...this is the back...and I finished the pattern at the bottom...
...and this is the front...just down to where the pattern starts...a couple of karate classes later and I'll be done...
...I'll go ahead and stitch the side seams before I do the crochet edging around the bottom...I'm sure it'll be lovely once it's all blocked...
...and can you believe I'll be done WAY before Easter?...I'm still planning on making a cardi to go over this tank too...oh...and a little lavender purse too...and a tiered skirt of something lavender as well...

ReplyDeletelooking very good.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so so pretty. I agree--easy knitting is fabulous for social gatherings. Sometimes I can't think through even a simple pattern at home when my hubs or son want even a little attention.
ReplyDeleteHooray on your progress and lovely Easter crafty plans.
(P.S. I liked the pies on pi day, too. It was unintentional at first, but once I'd written the post, I realized how apropos it was.)
You are so resourceful. Your knitting is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very complicated!
ReplyDeleteLove the cardi.
My tank is getting near finished. I'm just going to do the neck - a bit nervous!!
Very pretty! I like your ensemble ideas too, sounds so springy and cheery. I liked the way you worked it without the circ. And to also be working on a cardi, so ambitious indeed.
