...the last time I mentioned the Laundry Room carpet was when we had the sewer backup and we replaced a swathe of carpet in the center of the room...
...and that 'worked'...and we just left it at that...I guess we figured we'd eventually get around to replacing it...
...and now that this sweet little house will belong to someone else...we thought maybe they'd like laundry room carpet that wasn't striped...
...so with all of the appliances...except the deep sink...out of the way...we made a template...using kraft paper...
...then we bought some indoor/outdoor carpet and laid that out in the garage...and cut around the template...
...then it was just a matter of tugging and pushing and flattening to get a perfect fit in the room...
...a scrrewdriver proved to be the best tool for tucking the new carpet under the existing rubber baseboard...
...then all that was left was a few little snips...
...to create a perfect circle around the drain...
...and the laundry room is all ready for it's new owners...

It is so easy to put down a stop gap that you learn to live with! The new carpet is a good colour and looks great.
