...11.27...Over the Thanksgiving Weekend...

...Thanksgiving weather was pretty gorgeous...
...and Mom said she was not going to do traditional Thanksgiving fare...
...she had the whole timeline mapped out so that everything would get done and on the table on time...so we started early prepping the veg for the grill...
...Brussels Sprouts ready to roast...
...sliced a bunch of peppers for the grill....
...and added some onions to the grill pan...
...went ahead and sauteed some mushrooms...
...and scrubbed the grill...
...the Man did the grilling and everything was ready all at once...left to right...grilled peppers and onions...creamed corn that Mom had frozen...roasted Brussels sprouts...mashed potatoes (Grandma's mashed)...gravy and mushrooms...and the burgers of course...
...oh...and Mom's delicious coleslaw...nobody makes coleslaw like Mom...my overstuffed plate...it was all really delicious...and we had such a good time visiting...it was 'just' warm enough to sit outside...I had on long sleeves and a sweater...
...after lunch the kiddos wanted to go to the river...of course...it's so much fun...
...I can't believe how big they're getting...my niece drove the buggy down...she did a great job...
...I also can't believe how grown up the field is...this was horse pasture when I was a teenager...
...my niece running down to the river...
...it's so beautiful and peaceful here...
...this was also our horse pasture...it's still pretty much as I remember it...
...we walked up to the old swimming hole...you can still see the ropes in the tree...
...we drove by the Church where we were married...
...it's always fun to see it...
...and the Church here got decorated as well...
...it's always so beautiful during Advent and Christmas...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  1. Hey! Looks like you had a really nice visit at home. Doesn't the river looks so weird with the field cleared all the way to the river bank on the North Mills River side? Hope you enjoy your last month at Rimer! Love, K
