A Day at the Carnival

For the 4th of July - the city brings in a small carnival. It was a lot of fun - the Man-Cub was big enough for all of the 'grown-up' rides and he headed straight for the 'Super Shot' as soon as we got in the gate.

It's a tower thingy that takes you up in the air about 50-60 feet (maybe higher - I'm not a very good judge of height but it was about twice as tall as any trees around there) and then drops you freefall for a couple of seconds and then 'catches' you and slowly glides back to the bottom.

...here we are all strapped in and ready to go...

this was the view from about half way up - then I had to hold onto the camera...

This was the best ride in the whole carnival and we rode it many times...

down goes the Man-Cub...

a view from the top...

here we are riding the Himalayan...

...the Ring of Fire - we did not ride...

and of course we had to have some carnie food - we had lemonade and cotton candy naturally - and it really was fresh squeezed lemonade - I was so impressed - what's a day at the carnival without a good sugar rush...

  3. I wouldn't think spinning rides would make a pilot sick - hehe...

We love our kildeer and we miss them in the fall when they leave and we don't hear their peeping anymore - I'm glad you have one - and I'm so jealous of the veggies you get and don't have to work for...

The carnival surprised us - I don't think they've done it before while we've been here...

    Love,
