Another Corners of My Home Post
That's the small buffet from Mamaw's furniture that she set up housekeeping with in the 1930's. On top are Grandma's old coffee grinder - when we were first married I used to grind our coffee with it - now I mostly only drink Teecino so I don't use it much - it smells like old coffee. There used to be a pair of these lamps in our guest room in Balsam Grove, but one got broken so it sits here alone now. The hardanger doilie is from a sweet neighbor who died last year. And that's the Man's short wave radio and some sort of funny round antenna that goes with it in the corner. On the wall is a print of a famous photograph by Eric Enstrom - it was originally taken in the 1900's in black and white and I think it was colorized by his daughter Rhoda Nyberg she used to match the shirt color to the request - if someone wanted the man to have on a red shirt she painted it red - we got this one from Augsburg - his shirt is green and black.
