Scenes around Camp

I got up early - as my roommates needed to get up an hour and a half before breakfast in order to shower/blow-dry/straighten/make-up before breakfast - so funny...

...so naturally I washed my face and brushed my teeth and was out of the bathroom in 5 minutes - with my camera - I headed outside...

...still plenty of snow here - I think this is a support for a plant...

...the pool is slap-dab full of snow...

...The Retreat Center - the window to the right in between the trees is our room...

...the Chapel through the trees...

...the sidewalk with it's little row of solar lamps...

...a busy squirrel left these tracks...

...another view of the Chapel...

...a coverless teepee...

...stacks of picnic tables in the snow...

...the steeple...

...icicles...

...the crosses...

...frozen trees...

...a wagon - used for hayrides in warmer weather...

...a few deer come into view...

...wait - it's quite a herd...

...but they all run away from me - over the hill and out of sight...

...a frosted tree...

...a snow covered well - pretty sure it's decorative only...

...another picnic table buried in the snow...

...a view of the lake - still frozen under a layer of snow...

...and a bird house with an interesting roof...

  2. An hour and a half! Even if I cover a few blemishes and put on some lipstick - including the shower and drying my hair - it's twenty minutes!

Lovely photos, could they be the same deer as were outside your house? They are stalking you?

  3. What a lovely spot. The amount of snow you still have is remarkable compared to here but I'm not complaining! LOL :0)

The picture of the deer is so beautiful.

  5. The snow is still pretty. The birdhouse has the lucky charm of a horseshoe over the door, and yes that is an interesting but effective roof. Do you do daylight savings time up there? Ours is in effect as of today. MOM

  7. It's amazing what young room mates are missing out on. The things you don't see when spend that hour putting on makeup and straightening your hair. I love the stillness of early morning. I'd scarf ice my hair and make up to see it.
