It's diorama time!

Scout had to make a diorama for a book report - the book was Prairie Whispers

...so in typical Scout fashion - he got busy days in advance - he's not so much a last minute crafter - not that we know anyone who is...

...it really was a simple design - I loved his 'people'...

...he cut and pasted - taped and glued...

...he coloured everything with coloured pencils - and was amazed at how sharp they got with the sideways colouring he was doing - he even wrapped the outside of the shoebox...

...so cute the way he just pushes the tablecloth out of his way to do his homework...

...he said the man had to look 'cruel'...

...and the girl 'worried'...

...I love the attention to detail...

  1. oh what fun! i remember those!

    love, k

  2. Oh I loved making those. Why do we stop doing that when we grow up?

  3. He got the 'looks' just right. Good Job!! MOM

  4. I think he catured the "cruel" and "worried" looks just fine! I give it an A+!

  5. I especially love the lightening bolt!

  6. You know, I don't think Owen has ever done a diorama. The idea really appeals to me, seeing Scout's great work :)

  7. he did an awesome job. you're a good influence on him.

  8. That's so fine! The drawings are much better than anything I could do!
