The Watercress Experiment

Thanks so much for all the quilt love yesterday - I'm hoping it will bring warmth and comfort to someone out there who needs it...

Remember last week when we made the Potage au Cresson and we bought that bunch of Watercress with the little root ball still attached - and Scout wanted to see if it would grow...

...well, we plunked it into a dish and sprinkled some water on it - and guess what? - It is growing...

...I think we'll put some more soil around it and call it a plant now...we may never have to buy watercress again...

  5. i planted lots of seeds today in home-made propogators. no watercress, though. perhaps i'll do that tomorrow...

  8. he he! I love making new little plants from my scraps. We are growing a potato and an onion right now. I'll have to save my watercress next time.
