...y'all know how I name my projects by the venue where I work on them - so these are now officially my Karate Socks...
...there's not really a lot going on chez Affectioknit - so I thought I'd post a sock update - I've not been working on these too much since I started them at Camp Wilderness - I've turned the heel and they're going to have my favorite comfy 'princess soles' - that's just where I purl the sole stitches instead of knitting all the way around and it makes the smooth knit side against my footsies - and they're from my very favorite pattern for socks - and I'm just using two strands of Aunt Lydia's Bamboo...
...and now that Scout's back in Karate - hopefully they'll progress a bit more quickly now...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I can just imagine how comfy your "karate socks" are going to be. I haven't progressed beyond scarves yet, but I have hope. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteooooh, a sock. My friend and I have been talking about taking a 'knitting socks' class. I think it would be fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great project while you wait for Scout to finish his class.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to come up with something to do while Owen swims twice a week!
I do alot of knitting at karate too:-)
ReplyDeleteWhat are those 'beads' for? Your sock looks cozy already! Peace, Angela (Peach Coglo)
ReplyDeleteOh, I like the idea of the knit side on the inside on the sole... You are so smart! Much like your "karate sock", I am making a "football hat" every day after work... a little bit at a time! I don't mind waiting around for a practice of finish as long as I brought some knitting along...
ReplyDeleteI just love all your socks. I am still working on my first sock. I think I need some help with the heel flap.
