...Scout has reached his goal - and earned and saved enough money to buy the aquarium...so far he's washed and vacuumed my car and his Papa's truck - washed all the windows on the front of the house - inside and outside - (he wanted to do the ones on the back too - but they're too far off the ground) - and then today - he finished up by mowing the lawn one last time and waxing his Papa's truck...
...so right after lunch and our Saturday Library run - we headed to Stuff Mart to buy this...
...and then spent the afternoon setting it all up - Scout had done quite a bit of research on the riverbottom habitat for the Bullhead and got some sand and river rocks and washed those carefully and put them into the new aquarium - the weeds ('scuse me) ahem - plants that Scout gathered at the local park pond and have been living in a bucket for a couple of weeks - went in too - along with some snails that were clinging to the weeds - Scout was thrilled about the snails - as they would be in the natural habitat as well - that's a pretty big one floating in the middle front of the aquarium - then he built a little cave for the Bullhead as they like to have little hidey-holes...and we're done - ready to order the little guy...

That boy is sure industrious for his special project and you all have sparkling vehicles. That bullhead will have a happy home, I'm sure. MOM

ReplyDeleteWow, that's determination. I'm sure the bullhead will love his new home and owner.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome he has snails. When I was a kid, I was fascinated by snails in our aquarium. Good for Scout! Peace, Angela (Peach Coglo)
