...first...a little tour of our awesome Naha, Okinawa hotel...this is our room...one of three bedrooms in this suite...
...the main room and kitchen...you can see two of the bedroom doors here...
...the living/dining area...
...the entryway...I totally love this area for removing ALL shoes...there's even a sign saying No Shoes in House...and a neat row of many sizes of house slippers...there are separate 'bathroom' slippers too...because you don't want to wear your house slippers into the bathroom...I love this idea...it's definitely a cultural thing...and I'm not sure I could change...I'm afraid I'd start our doing it and then revert for convenience sake...
...this is the first of three 'bath' rooms...it's got a washer/dryer and sink...the toilet (I should do a whole post on Japanese toilets...I told our Airman he needs to bring three of them home with him...haha...they really are awesome...heated seats...two different bidets...sound masking music/white noise...haha)...the shower/bath area is through the double door...
...the shower/bath area...the tub is so deep too...
...the kiddos room...and the girls room was the same but has three twin beds...
...after a really good night's sleep...our first glimpse outside our window...a nice warm 60 degree rainy day...
...a wonderful cup of coffee...why don't they have these little brewing packets in America...they are so neat...and delicious...
...after coffee was present time...Little Sissie opened the fairy doll...
...and Big Sissie opened the Elsa doll...see her pajamas...
...she loves Elsa...
...the kiddos were telling us how awesome the 7-elevens are here...also convenience stores Family Mart and Lawsons...but there was a 7-Eleven about a minute from our hotel...so we headed there to get some snacky things for lunch...
...so this is my 7-Eleven lunch...a triangle of plain rice with a nori wrapper...a plateful of microwave edamame and a packet of barley rice...it was very satisfying...
...then we opened another couple of presents...and spent some time working the Aurora/Sleeping Beauty puzzle...
...Big Sissie is really good at puzzles...
...we spent some time jumping on the beds...
...it's so much fun...
...we headed out in the rain for a little walk...
...past the monorail...
...and stopped at a grocery store...we're having a really good time...just visiting and touring around the city...
~Have a lovely day!

What a totally awesome trip. Looking forward to day two.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Yes, I remember stopping at 7 Eleven's a lot on our trips to Asia - one on each street corner it seemed. Your photos so far don't show hoards of people - I was expecting it to be more crowded. Have fun and Happy New Year!!! Love, K
