...7.10...Friday Update...

...I thought I'd show you a few scenes from a very warm bike ride around the neighborhood...this is heading down the street...our house is just ahead on the left...

...our house from across the street...flanked by two fuschia crepe myrtles in full bloom...the little wooden bridge to the left of the front yard is just visible under the canopy of that one...

...and heading back up the street the same crepe myrtles line both sides of the road...they really are pretty...

...and a close up of the gorgeous frilly blooms...I can't really tell that they have any scent...but they are the bane of the Man's existence right now as he's allergic to them...

...and you can't really get away from them here...even when we sit on the piazza in the evening you see them over the top of the yaupon trees...and you just know that their pollen is drifting down on you...

...I should also mention that the last of the gardenias that we transplanted has finally bloomed...they've all six bloomed now...at different times...so I'm hoping that they'll all survive now and like their new home...
