Cookie Making

Our LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization) met and made cookies for our shut-ins. They seemed to naturally separate into two groups (one made up entirely of boys and one made up entirely of girls) funny...
...so they mixed and shaped and decorated (and ate a bunch of cookie dough)...
...and had a whole lot of fun - they ate so many of the chocolate kisses that they're weren't enough to top the peanut butter cookies - so we just pressed the fork imprint into those and they were just peanut butter cookies with no kiss...
...we packed them all up prettily in cellophane and labeled them -and popped them into the freezer - we'll deliver them with Christmas Carols in Advent...

  1. that's cute - boys vs. girls....that will change soon!! ('course, you'll probably have trouble getting the boys to participate pretty soon....)

  2. What a nice idea to put a smile on the faces of seniors and to get the boys and girls to do something caring!

  3. Awesome! I love kids getting into the idea of being the hands and feet of the church! I'm sure those treats will be much appreciated.
