Very nice! I love putting up food for winter. We don't grow our own apples on our farm (yet!), so I am thankful for friends that share their bounty with me.

Hi Teresa - sounds like a lot of fun picking them, and then making applesauce and applebutter. It's been ages since I've done that. Maybe I oughta go out to a U-pick farm and get myself some good canning apples. Would love to do some apple pie filling. You take care, and happy canning. From KY.
Yay apple picking! We'll be going in a few weeks. We pick apples almost every year, and yet this is the first year it has occured to me to can my applesauce. Peace, Angela (Peach Coglo)

Is apple sauce stewed apples and sugar or stewed apples alone? I see lots of references to it, especially in cake recipes. Sounds good.
Apple Butter is the best! I plan to make some this year too!
