The Miracle of Birth

...Scout got to see it first hand...

...he had noticed that one of his mollies had a really big tummy...

...so he tied a plastic container into the aquarium with (you guessed it) yarn to separate her from her tankmates...

...and then last night it happened - she started popping out little ones - a bunch of them...

...they'll have to stay in the little container until they're big enough not to be mistaken for food...

...can you see that they are perfect tiny little miniature fish...

...Scout is such a proud fish papa...

  5. That is incredibly exciting! My kiddos have been asking for an aquarium lately. Those fishies are too cute. Congrats to Scout! Good for him knowing to separate the mama from the other fish.

  6. Oh and I meant to also say it's good having a lot of yarn around. You never know when you might need it. I had some in my purse one day and I used some to tie back Helena's hair for her ballet class. It's always useful-like a pocketknife.
