...family vacay...

...we've been down south to visit family...
...it's always fun to see everyone...here are some of the highlights...

...there was some of this...we flew to Columbus OH, because the Man had a conference there...

...and some of this...I only took two projects...my Scout Socks which are finished...pics later...and these new Comfort Socks from my favorite old sock pattern...

...and some of this...we drove to the mountains of NC...where most of our family live...

..and there was some of this...it's always so good to see family...

...and Mamaw showed us the latest pine needle basket she's been working on...she's 95...

...the view from our hotel in the mountains...right at dusk...which at 9 PM is much earlier than it is here...

...there was some of this...Scout's been doing front flips into the pool since he was about 4...

...but he's recently been trying a back flip version...one of his first attempts...

...Scout helped out his Grandmaw and Papaw by mowing the back lawn for them...

...and we spent several lazy hours at my Mom's backyard pool...just relaxing and visiting...

...Scout's back flips got better...

...then there was a trip to the ER after Scout stepped on a nail...it was not too bad...

...he hobbled around for a few days...

...and then on the morning we left...we saw these balloons on our way out of Asheville...

...such a lovely end to a lovely week...soaking up all that family love...

  1. Ashville is one of my favorite cities! Glad you had a chance to visit with family, but sorry that Scout was hurt. I would love to see one of your mom's pine needle baskets and wish I could learn how to make them. xx

A trip up your way is not out of the question, Eric has never been up there.
