...Elving...The Simplest Wrist Warmers EVER...

...did I mention...my book club is doing all handmade gifts this year...

...and these have got to be the easiest and quickest wrist warmers ever...
...cast on 50 stitches and knit in stockinette stitch for 50 rows on size 6 needles...

...see...Super Simple...
...then to finish...cast off but don't cut yarn...and fold the rectangle wrong sides together...

...single crochet around the bottom...alternatively you could do any decorative stitch here...picot would be nice...

...then single crochet the two sides together...this makes an interesting seam...

...when you get near the top...about 3 inches from the top...single crochet down one side only for 1 1/2 inch...then join the other side...and single crochet back to the single crochet seam...this will make the thumb opening...

...then slip stitch back to the open part of the seam and continue to single crochet to the top...

...then single crochet around the top hand opening...cut yarn and weave in the end...
...and your done...
...this is such an easy 2 evening project...I completely finished one during one episode of Doc Martin...one night and then did the same the next night...

...what are you elving for Christmas this year?...I'll be posting more super easy projects in the next week or so as I try to make something handmade for all my bookclub friends...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  2. Such a useful item, I take them to puppy training classes which are help in a cold and draughty barn! I love the colour, a pink loving gal myself!
