...Vegan Sauce au Cari over at The Vegan Version...

  1. There is a sauce I make which it traditionally eaten with duck but it can be eaten with lots of things and is delicious. It is called Bigarade Sauce. Melt 1 level tablespoon of sugar with 1 tablespoon of vinegar until a dark caramel. Add 2 tablespoons of brandy (I often miss this out as I rarely have brandy) juice of 3 oranges (I often use orange juice) and the juice of 1 lemon to the caramel and simmer for 5 minutes. Thicken with cornflour then cut an orange into segments and add to the sauce.
