First Day of 6th Grade

Thanks for going on that vacation adventure with us - we are so glad to be home - and with only one day to spare before school starts...

...I'm constantly astonished by how quickly children change and grow up (I know everyone says that and it's true) so we try to savour every moment we have with our boy...
...we got up early - had a hearty oatmeal breakfast - packed a few last minute items - filled the water bottle - and headed out the door for a brand new adventure in 6th grade...
...After the indoor picture at home Scout requested 'No more pictures please, Mom' - but I couldn't resist a few clandestine shots as he walked into school...
...he's so big and independent - he certainly didn't need any help carrying anything or setting up his desk...

  1. oh so sweet. yup...college here he comes!

    love, k

  2. Wow, you've been busy blogging.

Double Wow he looks so grown up.

  3. I like that you had to sneak a few last photos! 6th grade is a big year!

  4. You are doing a good job of letting him grow up and still enjoying the process. MOM

  5. I know the feeling - I give your hand a little squeeze over the miles.

  6. it was fun to follow your trip. :)

    and wow! you have a 6th grader . . . and i have a 6-year-old. both seem grown-up to me . . .
