My "Garden" this year...

I'm going to do some container gardening this year...

...remember that huge pile of dirt in our backyard...

...well - it's still there and I can't plant my garden in the usual spot because 'eventually' someone will come and push all of that dirt around - some of it over my garden spot...

...well - I couldn't risk planting and nurturing a garden that would be covered over - could I?...

...so we planted our carrots here...

...our Italian lettuces here...

...and our tomatoes here at the end of the deck...

...around the corner are squashes and okra...

...we also have potatoes growing in a generous friend's garden...

  1. I'm so with you on the container gardens this year! We just know we do not have the time or resources to devote to a traditional garden so we're keeping it small.

It looks like you have made the most out of your planting spaces and have quite a variety of produce to look forward to!

  4. Grrrr! It can be so frustrating not to be able to garden. Still, it seems as though you are able to grow something.

It will leave you time to blog for us!

  8. You may like container gardening better than 'in the ground'. You have a good start. MOM

  9. I like how you've been able to find homes for them all, despite not having a big area. I'm reading a book called "The earth knows my name" and I can't wait to set up my garden next year, I will do so much differently! Our plants have been in our garden for about a month now so I really can't change it much now...
