...Another small project about the house...An Updated Door

...here's a before picture of the front door...

...masked and ready to paint...

...getting started - you can see we finally decided on the peacock blue...

...this is after 2 coats of paint - I may still do a third...

...with our new storm door...

...I really love the front of the house so much more now...

  1. I love it, it's a great pop of color! It'll pop especially well when everything else is covered with snow!

  11. Oh, I love the newly painted blue front door and new glass front door as well! How fun. My husband about croaked when I suggested painting our front door a mauve color... he just doesn't get it! :) The peacock blue was a great choice!!!!!

  12. It never ceases to amaze me just how much difference something quite small can make such a big difference.

Fixing the porch and the lovely splash of blue do really lift the front.

  16. I am really enjoying that bright blue. It will be great all year long (bright in the dark fall and winter, and bright matching the colors of spring and summer). xo Angela

  20. I love it!!! So charming, makes the outside seem more warm and inviting somehow. I would say, since you had such a strong intuitive urge on this one, there was no way it could have been wrong. I think I would smile every time I came home and saw it!
