Happy Halloween

...Well the snow is almost all gone now...

...Scout had spent a couple of days carving pumpkins...

...he got home from school one day and grabbed a garbage bag and started on pumpkin #1...

...pumpkin #2 was still wrapped in papier maché - so he had to wait a little while on that one...

...his own design - a huge gaping toothy mouth...

...drawing on the second pumpkin - finally out of wraps...

...this one gets a skull pumpkin pattern from a book - the little plastic saw that came with the kit broke on the first stroke - that's OK - we just used a regular kitchen knife...

...Scout wanted to paint his face - this has nothing to do with tomorrow's costume...but it is pretty awesome - he did it all by himself and he even painted skeleton teeth on his lips so that if he keeps his mouth closed it looks like teeth...

...finishing up pumpkin #2...

...a little decorating around the house...Ahhh...the new front door again...

...the old Halloween banner makes another appearance - it's about 12 years old now...

...so is the sproingy pumpkin guy...

...and a happy little witch to greet trick-or-treaters on the stairs...

...another little witch in the window...Ahhh - a white window too...

...this witch was so scary for Scout when I first cut her out (she's from an old MSL mag) about 10 years ago - when he was two...she's looking a little bit worse for the wear - but still casts a scary silhouette...

...I taped the door banner on the garage this year - it's more visible from the street that way and I didn't want to cover up my new front door - haha...

...a friendly ghost out by the street...

...one of Scout's old school art projects - I just keep these things and use them year after year...

...the treats are ready to go...

...Scout getting frustrated that the makeup doesn't come off as easily as promised...he finally took a shower and got it all off...

...Our little Jack-O-Lantern - Ha!...

...we took him for a walk and got back home just as the first trick-or-treaters arrived...

...I don't think he cared for the pumpkin suit too much...

...Pumpkin #1...

...and Pumpkin #2...

...and now we're ready to go trick-or-treating ourselves...

...it's very late and I promise the how to on the costume first thing in the morning...
