...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...a very Happy First Day of Spring to you...
...Spring is very fickle around here...we had sleet and ice over the weekend...
...our Sr. High Youth met at one of our parishoner's house for a practice session for our upcoming mission trip to the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina...

...I know we live in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia...and ASP (Appalacian Service Project) sends youth from other states here to work...they try to get the youth out of their home state...
...they worked on a deck...which is a common project that they might be asked to complete at an ASP home...often including a handicapped accessible ramp...
...they divided into groups...one group worked with drills...
...measuring and attaching the joists with hangers...
...another group measured the boards and sawed them...'measure twice...cut once'...
...and another group attached all of the mid supports under the joists...
...then the groups switched jobs so that everyone measured...sawed...drilled...screwed...and hammered...and everyone had a good time...

~Have a lovely day!
