...Scout and his girlfriend (hereafter referred to on the blog as A²) had been wanting to try the 'melted crayon canvas' project for a while now...and we finally got all the stuff together for them to do that on a cold and rainy day...

...this is definitely a garage or outdoor project as the melted crayons can splatter...

...it took a lot of blow drying to melt the crayons...

...but they were successful...with a rainbow coloured one...

...so they lined up some blues and greens...

...and had another go at it...

...definitely a fun and creative project...
~Have a lovely day!
I have been wanting to do this myself. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great effect, I must try it.
ReplyDeletethat's neat! loved melting crayons in some Rugby art project. that was the only art class i have ever taken...i think we melted the crayon over a candle (gasp - allowing a 13 yr old to have an open flame on school property!) and drop-by-drop made a self-portrait. i'm sure it was comical! this is much prettier! love, k
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!
