...not a quitter...
...normally that's a phrase that I would apply to myself...
...but last weekend when this big boat came to town...we wanted to see it...we just like ships and such...they're interesting...
...we've seen the USS North Carolina, the USS Yorktown, and the USS Clamagore...
...this is the LST 325...
...It's a Tank Landing Ship (for some reason abbreviated as LST)...and it participated in the Normandy Landings...
...so we got in line...with about 1000 other people and we waited about an hour...(the tour, we were told, took 45 minutes)...
...and then we were told that it was another 2 hours wait from where we were...
...so we just gave up...
...but before we left...we walked down to the pier and snapped some photos from the outside...
...next time...
...we'll get there early...and we won't give up...
