...I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE visiting with my sweet sissie and her hubby...years ago when I was teaching Latin/French in Raleigh we lived for several years within just a few miles of each other...and I was so happy that she was able to squeeze in one more visit before they leave for the winter on their boat...hop over to McCraw Sails if you want to keep up with her there...
...they treated us to a delicious Mexican takeout dinner...and then we sat around talking...watched and played along with Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune...it's the kind of little-homey-family-comfy-fun things that we do together...really nothing special at all...
...Sissie and hubby have been watching some of the Ken Burns documentaries...they usually don't have the ability to stream video in the Bahamas so they have a 5 TB drive that they load a bunch of series and movies onto before they leave...and she brought that and gave us a copy of a lot of them...we put them on some old-old hard drives that we had laying around the in the basement...
...so then we watched the first episode of a series that she recommended Yellowstone...she gave us the first three seasons that she has on disk...it stars Kevin Costner...and it's very good...not too stressful...but they did tell me (several times) that I was asking too many questions...haha...
...we'll probably continue that series tonight for Movie night...but I also just got the dvd Vision...so we'll see if the Man is up for more subtitles or not...haha...probably not...and I guess it's technically his turn....
...and then I had a bit of a disaster with breakfast this morning...haha...
...last night...I had gotten a baggie of blueberries out of the freezer to thaw...to make blueberry muffins this morning...using a tried and true much loved recipe...but I kept nibbling on the thawing blueberries...and although the recipe only calls for 1 cup...I decided to put all of the remaining thawed berries in...and it was a really bad idea...you really can't almost double the amount of fruit in a muffin recipe...
...but everyone was a good sport about it...they turned out more like pudding cups...and they also stuck to the liners horribly...and as Sissie said they were much improved by the addition of butter...
...we just had our hugs and good-byes...and I probably won't see her in person again until next May...but luckily I see her almost daily on the blog...

I'm glad you two use the modern tech so well while you're in between face to face visits. That must be hard though. Hooray for such a wonderful visit!
