...a couple of my WIPs are finished and gifted so I can show them to you now...
...this was the very beginning of Mom's little shawlette...
...no real pattern...but basically the same concept as Grandma's favorite dishcloth...you increase on each row and do a yarn over...and then I did a row of YO K2T across the top...and obviously I didn't do any decreases...
...I had looked at a bunch of traditional bed jackets...and some of them are very pretty...but then I thought if I was all cozy in bed reading...and I'm ready to snuggle down under the covers and go to sleep...I'd have to fiddle and fuss and get out of my bed jacket...so I thought a little shawl draped over the shoulders would be faff-free to slip out of...
...but then after Mom had opened her gift and I was telling her that...she said...'but I can wear it out too' right...with a pin...and obviously she's right...win-win...
...and this is the very beginning of Sissie's Cozy Posy...
...she's staying up here in the cold instead of spending the winter in the Caribbean on her boat...so she needs something to keep her ears warm...
...it looks adorable on her too...I chose the colour from stash...it's a soft and silky bamboo blend I got ages ago...I think for some socks I never made...and I held it double for this pattern...I don't have the wrapper anymore...but it's a mauvy-tan sort of colour I thought would go well with her hair...
...what's in your workbasket this week?...
~Have a lovely day!
