...one of the things I love most about camp is the Chapel...
...so, I'm going to do a whole post - just about the chapel...
...they got the new stained glass windows installed...
...and the steeple has been freshly painted and repaired...I'll bet that was quite the job as it was almost completely rotten after many, many years of neglect...
...the pretty stained glass from the inside...
...the sweet little alcove chapel area - with the top part of what the Man calls a W-altar - get it Wall + Altar = Waltar - pastors don't usually like them because they have to turn their backs to the congregation to prepare Communion...
...this Waltar comes from another country church which has had to close its doors...
...out the windows overlooking the lake...
...from the back - the huge Elms will be gone the next time we come - they are diseased and must be taken down - so sad...
...from the side coming back up the hill from canoeing...
...isn't it pretty?...

A very pretty church. It is so sad to see Elms go. Such lovely trees.
ReplyDeleteIt's precious! I hope they replant trees. A chapel like that should have great trees.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty place. It looks so calm and peaceful too. Peace, Angela
