Still Lovin' it...

...something got spilled on Mamaw's Tablecloth and it had to be washed - oh well that sort of thing is bound to happen...

...but I'm still loving my clothesline - it's the perfect place to dry things that can't go in the dryer - I'll let you know when my clothes start to freeze on the line - then we'll finally have to stop hanging clothes out until next spring...

  1. I'm glad it's still warm enough to dry things on the clothesline. I see the backyard is nice and level. Looks good. MOM

  2. Back in the 1950's and 1960's, when I still lived at home, the washing was dried either on the line or on the clotheshorse around the fire (only source of heating in the house!)

When the weather was freezing I loved pushing sheets and garments that were frozen solid. If I bent them and the ice cracked along a line, it acted just like a hinge. A lot of fun.

  3. Ah the clotheline. You know my MIL is so hardcore clothesline that she puts clothes out even if they freeze. She lives in KS so you can imagine. I am wayyy to wimpy to do that. Peace, Angela

  5. p.s. i happened to be back in apex and got that yarn (i think it's the boy scout sock yarn)

had a terrific cup of coffee at a little coffee house across the street from the yarn shop for my drive home too! (pumpkin vanilla...yum) downtown apex is so much "hipper" than it was when we were there!

  7. Wonderful! We left our clothesline behind in our last apartment, and having space for one here is another reason I am already shopping for houses!
