...5.3...New House Update...now and then...

...work continues on the Master bathroom...we've finished painting all of the cabinets...

...the next step now is to pull them all out...to add the framing for the larger countertop...because the room is so big...we thought it would be nice to have a little more counterspace...

...the Man preps the countertop...

...we've never worked with formica before...this one is a pretty pattern that matches the Hale Navy...obvi...

...the end cuts are made...we'll do a dry fit...then finish the framing and install it soon...

...now back to the past...the Man painted the back porch ceiling...

...removing the old ceiling fan...

...it's pretty customary here in the South to paint porch ceilings "Haint Blue"...

...it's just a pretty pale blue...it goes nicely with the white walls...

...it's pretty tedious painting all the little grooves...

...all painted and the new ceiling fan in place...it matches the ones on the front porch...but it's in a driftwood colour...
