...we started off the weekend with a lovely breakfast out...we went to a new-to-us local cafe...it was so sweet and homey...they had a sign in the entryway that said "Be Nice or Leave"...gotta love that...and there was quite a long queue...but there was a spiral bound notebook on a stand and you just wrote your name and how many people in your party on the next line...so sort of an honor system...and they had one of each of the military branch flags on the walls...and I initially ordered dry wheat toast as I often do...and then our sweet server suggested the raisin bread...so I got that as well...and then she came back to assure me that their grits are also vegan...so I got those as well...you can imagine that I was pretty well caffeinated and carbed up for the weekend...haha...
...and then of course I did the weekly grocery shop...those two cans of beans are new to us as well...White Acre Peas and Crowder Peas which we've heard of but never seen canned...it'll be fun to try those...
...and we had so much rain...inches and inches of it...and our Plains Coreopsis all fell over...
...so...a lot of yardwork over the weekend...
...so I staked and tied those back up...hopefully they're not too bent and broken...they were just about to bloom too...
...and I did a little zig zag of twine for our morning glories to climb up...they can probably just climb up the fence...but I wanted to give them a little bit of help...
...my litte onion, rosemary, volunteer tomato patch...
...last year's amarylis is blooming now...
...and last year's Easter Lily from church is about to bloom as well...
...and we have tiny little cherries on our baby cherry tree...
