...first of all...Happy Birthday to my sweet Sissie...
...finishing up the countertop in the master bath...
...new sinks installed...
...the drawers are ready...the Man is still working on the doors...
...but it won't be long and we'll be moving out of the hallway bathroom and back into our own...
...and this was the week in the past that we finished converting the dining room to the den...
...we took the blinds down to clean them...for the first time in 20 years I'm sure...a vacuum first...
...they're very long so I hung them over the fence to wash them...
...and then I didn't want them trailing on the ground...so I stuck the chairs under them...and that worked fine...they were really dusty...
...the Man started by painting the ceiling BM Swiss Coffee...
...and he got a super wide roller to make short work of that...
...and then we started the wall transformation with a fairly dark grey primer...
...we bought and tried out this 'gadget'...but don't bother...while it is somewhat helpful in this straight line beside the door...you can't get into any of the corners...and switching sides means you have to use it upside down...somewhat disappointing...
...not sure why I took so many photos of the cutting in with the primer...
...starting cutting in with the burgundy...
...the Man painting the grey primer...I had already done most of the cutting in with both primer and paint...
...I did all of the down low cutting in...
...and the Man did the up high...
...ready for the roller now...
...still hard to envision...
...at about this time we decided to remove these windowsills so that we can put moulding around the windows...the little tabs are not wide enough for the moulding to sit on...and they are oddly not exactly the same size...so weird...
...so we prized those off...
...I painted the actual window frame in the Swiss Coffee and I turned the corner so that there won't be any burgundy to deal with under the new trim...
...and the Man bought new boards and cut them properly...
...the windows framed and the blinds back in place...I really like it a lot better...
...the new moulding...BM Swiss Coffee...
...the Man had to do some wiring for the ceiling fan and so the ceiling had to be patched...
...spackled...
...but I probably didn't need to as we're putting one of those old-fashioned medallions around the ceiling fan...
...and this is my upside down tent to catch the sanding dust...
...the ceiling fan and medallion...
...lit and in motion...
...the pretty Renoir copy is back on the wall...and we installed a little light above it...
...and a pretty antique lamp in the corner...
...the whole room...
...and the antique lamp lit in the corner....
~Have a lovely day!

It was so fun to actually be in your house so I understand now how all this fits together. It is so, so lovely!!! The attention to detail is wonderful! I can't believe those are the original blinds - they look brand new! Love, K
