...People who love to eat...

...I saw this fun printable over at 'I should be mopping the floor'...

...and you know how much I love Julia Child...

...and I wanted one for my kitchen...
...and I had this lovely stretched canvas piece of 'art' in my craft box for repurposing...not sure when or where I acquired it...but if I were guessing...it came from a church basement sale in North Dakota and cost maybe $1...anyway...I thought it would be perfect for this craft...
...so I downloaded the 8 x 10 version...and edited it...just in mspaint...I didn't like the grey colour that the word 'People' printed on my printer...so I cut that out and filled in the black background and slurped up the white colour from another word...and typed in transparent mode the word 'People' in the new colour...

...and then I resized it for a 10 x 10 print to cover the picture portion of my canvas...
...got out the ModPodge...
...sponge-brushed it onto the canvas and paper...
...lined it up to cover the picture...there are always some wrinkles and bumps...so I smoothed those out as best I could...my little Pampered Chef roller-thingy works well for that...you can see it in the pictures for rolling out the gingerbread house...
...for some reason...it always dries nice and flat...even if I didn't get all of the bumps out...
...after it was dry...I sponge-brushed more ModPodge on top...
...just coated it really good...
...making sure I coated the edges too...
...and I like the brush strokes...
...so I left it like that to dry...
...then hung it centered over the stove in the kitchen...
...I love it!...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

Have you seen this site? http://www.abeautifulmess.com

I admire these sisters for making a job out of what they love, also learned a few things I've then taught people at my art class.
