Wednesday, October 13, 2010 the Senior Supper...

...the Boy Scouts spent an evening with the Senior Citizens of the community, serving at their fall supper...

...they especially had fun with the sprayers and dishwasher...

...but it was really nice to see how kind and thoughtful they were with the seniors... refreshing in a society doesn't always seem to value senior citizens very much...

  1. Oh my gosh, don't get me started on how seniors are overlooked and devalued in this country-shameful and sad. But what a wonderful way for the boys and the older folks to spend an evening. That was very touching! Thanks for sharing! Peace, Angela

  2. very nice! i hope i have a bunch of scouts visiting me when i'm in that situation!

    love, k

  3. That's wonderful! We're a cub scout family too, just babies though-- I'm the Tiger Den Mother:-)

Thank you for visiting my blog...I'm going to look around here for a bit now...looks like we have a lot in common!

  4. You're right, many people often overlook the seniors---great that they're introducing the boys to volunteerism and time with seniors!

  5. Cool!
It's always so wonderful to see people interacting lovingly.

  6. It looks as though everyone had fun. We have 'Harvest Suppers' which are basically the same.

There are notices of 'Shepherd's Pie' suppers around the town, must read one today and find out what they are about.

I do like the look of those sprayers!
