Court of Honor...

...This was a full Boy Scout weekend...

...We had Court of Honor Sunday night...

...Nothing new here - pretty much a repeat of last year...and the year before that...and so on...

...I was on the decorating committee...but we kept it pretty simple...

...there were awards...

...and the usual silly skits...

...and Scout is now Second Class...which sounds hilariously funny to me...Second Class Scout...hopefully - he'll hurry up and get First Class...HA!

Note: I find it best to get these things sewn on as quickly as possible...I don't like to have to do it ten minutes before we leave for the next meeting if you know what I mean...(and yes - I snipped that thread off - I know I should have done it before the picture)...and also this patch is special because it was earned in 2010 the year of the Centenniel...

  1. Congrats to Scout! We had our Blue and Gold banquet last night. What is with attaching those patches? I have the worst time of it. Do you use a darning needle or something to sew on thos patches? Any advice, type/brand of needle you use would be most helpful. I wish the boys had patches like the girls, you just iron those things on and they stay on. It's a conspiracy I tell you! ;)
That cake looks great and it looks like a good time was had by all. Congrats to Second Class Scout. That is the cutest!

  2. Go Scouts! They clearly have lots of fun - the table looks very nice - just right for boys! What else did they have to eat?

I remember last years dinner - it was the skits that reminded me - and maybe even the year before.

Truly 'the days are long and the years are short', somthing from you that I think of very often.
